When I wrote these older books I was well-stocked with likeable characters and great plots...I had been writing forever. But now, as I strain through my older writings, I see that so many others have come up with the same ideas, and I don't want to seem like I'm copying other authors. So now I have to actually dream up something totally new. Not so easy these days with thousands of writers scrambling for new ideas, too.
